Radio Frequency treatment is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses RF energy to heat the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. This process helps to tighten and lift the skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improve overall skin texture and tone. RF treatments are safe and effective for all skin types and can be used on various areas of the face and body.
What Is Radio Frequency Treatment?
RF energy for skin tightening – A small handpiece is used to deliver the RF energy deep into the deeper dermis, increasing the tissue to a constant 40-42 causing trauma to existing aged and brittle collagen. Fibroblasts are then triggered (fibroblasts are the connective tissue cells that produce collagen and elastin fibres). In turn, this increases the synthesis of new collagen and elastin fibres.
This tightens the skin’s appearance and stimulates the increase blood supply. A vacuum can also be applied and especially beneficial for fluid retention around the eyes and the face as a whole.
A course of 8 treatments is recommended weekly. If the client presents a sun damaged, dehydrated, mature and crepe skin then treating bi-weekly is recommended, this gives time for the collagen cells to become established before treating again. Maintenace treatments can be carried out every 4-6 weeks.
RF energy for fat melting – A medium and large handpiece is will deliver the RF energy deeper into the subcutaneous tissue.
When subcutaneous fat reaches 40-41 it will start to melt (like butter in a hot pan) the fat cells reduce in size and become flatter. Subsequent treatments will reach deeper into the tissue and have the same effect on those cells. This effect will give a smoothing on the skins surface, reducing the appearance of cellulite.
Vacuum can then be applied to the skin to increase the effects
